Week 6 or 7 or 8 or so in London...!

..

Ok, as below, it's been a few weeks since an update sorry!

It can be hard to find the time to do these, and have the time connected to the net.

Anyways, all is well....we've spent the last 5 weeks or so setting up shop and getting settled....we're just at that stage now where we're going to try and venture out of London a little; bit our first little trip planned to go to Bath in a few weekends time...nothing major, but we're still operating on a budget until we get our bank accounts and income sorted!

Both Caren and I are working in a place called Canary wharf, which is basically London’s only real "modern" looking CBD with skyscrapers etc.....most of the rest of London central is all old buildings that you’ve all seen a million times on TV.

We are both working, once again, for competing banks, which is a laugh, though both on short term contracts at this stage.

(A Shot of Canary wharf in the distance taken from Greenwich Observatory on the meridian line)

The flat is still working out well...everyone here is really nice and we all get along..

We even saw some sunlight the other day for a while!!!!

(Amy, Justin and Rachel enjoying the one day of summer we've had so far this summer!)

We've managed to get out an about a wee bit to various tourist locations..

Like the British Museum:

(Fancy room in the museum, with the Rosetta stone , and tons of cool stuff from other countries including NZ)

(Some cool Greek statues and Caren)

And the Royal Naval Academy (old) at Greenwich park:

(Justin and Caren outside in the courtyard of the naval academy grounds)

Also, in random travels, have taken some shots of some classic London sights:

(Me and Big Ben in the background)

(Some famous cathedral, heh...I think its Westminster or something...)

(near Buckingham Palace...got some shots of the palace, but I thought this one was cooler for some reason)

Any way’s, have to sign off as we have a ton of stuff to try and organize.

As for the 'splosions around London...there’s been a lot of media hype of course, but basically everything is back to normal around London only 2 days after it all happened.....I'm sure people are feeling a lot more nervous about being on central London buses and tubes, but you can't avoid it...both Caren and I catch the tube through central London every day, and went into work yesterday.

Anyways, will hopefully have a more interesting update sometime in the future!
